A Letter of Thanks from India

Sister Amlee, Franciscan Servant of the Cross from India, sends her best wishes and thanks to all the donors of the Adoption of Light program, to Fr. Zbigniew Chwaja, Mission Secretary.

Dear Father Zbigniew, Beloved Donors!

With hearts full of gratitude and praise to God, we wish to thank you for your extraordinary generosity and unwavering commitment to supporting our mission at School of Mother Elizabeth for the Visually Impaired. Your compassion and commitment to fundraising are a true reflection of God's providence and concern for the most vulnerable among us.

Thanks to your tireless efforts, we have been able to provide not only basic needs such as food and clothing, but also access to high-quality education and healthcare – crucial tools for the children in our care, who face so many obstacles in their daily lives. You have helped us build an environment where these young souls can grow in wisdom, strength, and faith. By supporting their spiritual, physical, and educational needs, you participate in a holy work of mercy that reflects the love of Christ himself.

Your generosity extends beyond our school walls, reaching the poorest and most neglected children at our Nongbah Residential School in Meghalaya. In this remote and challenging region, your help has provided these children – many of whom would otherwise be forgotten – with the food, medical care, and education they so desperately need. Thanks to your support, we have been able to give them hope, dignity, and a chance for a better future.

The Lord tells us: “Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me.” (Matthew 25:40, KJ21) Your goodness and mercy are a living testimony to this Gospel teaching. We believe that your acts of mercy and love will not go unnoticed by our Heavenly Father. Through your generosity and faith, you have become a vital part of our mission to serve these children, helping them grow not only in knowledge but also in faith and virtue.

We carry you in our prayers, asking the Lord to bless you abundantly for the countless ways you have touched the lives of our children and communities. May Our Lady, Mother of Mercy, intercede for you, your Congregation, and your benefactors, bringing you closer to the heart of her Son, Jesus Christ.

With deep appreciation and blessings,
