We invite you to watch our report from the Philippines, where, together with Father Janusz Burzawa SCJ, we are running a project to feed and educate children.
In the Philippines, in the mountainous region of Dansolihon Parish, where roads are narrow and the school is several kilometers away, children wake up at dawn every day to walk to class. There are no buses or cafeterias, and often they don’t even get a lunch to take to school. That's why, together with missionary Father Janusz Burzawa, SCJ, we are running a feeding and education project there – a simple yet vital one. Each child supported receives 10 kilograms of rice each month. While this may not seem like much, it makes a huge difference for many families. Thanks to this, children do not drop out of school and can learn without hunger.
However, the project does not end with food. It also provides support in learning and encourages confidence in one's abilities. Teachers working with project coordinators identify children who need help the most and monitor their progress. Many students achieve excellent results. Some of the former scholarship recipients are already on the other side – now they help, teach, and support younger students.
Thanks to the support of Polish donors, over 70 children have already benefited from the project. Every gesture, even the smallest, impacts lives: a full plate, joy in their eyes, and hope for a better tomorrow. The children thank for this help with simplicity and gratitude.
TThis project reminds us that kindness doesn't require grand words or gestures. Sometimes, a bag of rice is enough to transform the everyday life of an entire family.
We invite you to watch the film about this project. See the smiles of children who go to school with a light heart. Hear about their daily struggles, dreams, and gratitude. A small gesture can truly make a difference.
