We wait for this moment throughout the year. In the rush of daily life, we support missionary initiatives, follow news from the missions, and rejoice in small steps. It is the January Report, however, that reveals the full scope of the good accomplished over the past year thanks to the Dehonian Missionary Family. With great joy and gratitude, we share with you the Report for 2025.
Praised be Jesus Christ!
When I look at the information contained in the 2025 Report of the Secretariat of Foreign Missions of the Priests of the Sacred Heart, the first word that comes to my mind is GRATITUDE. Gratitude to God for so many graces: for the fact that, through His Providence, we have met and are able to support the missions together; for building a community called the Sacred Heart Missionary Family; and for the blessing of being able to generously support missionaries who proclaim the Gospel among the poor.
Last year, I had the opportunity to visit two of “our” orphanages in Bolivia – in Santa Cruz and Cochabamba. I saw with my own eyes how wisely and responsibly your donations are being used. These care facilities are home to children, many of whom have experienced sexual abuse – one of the deepest wounds a person can suffer in early childhood. While it is essential to provide daily food, clothing, and school supplies, their psychological and spiritual healing is equally important. That is why we finance specialized therapeutic care, and the sisters accompany the children in their spiritual formation. Prayer is an integral part of everyday life in these orphanages. Through these two missionary projects, I have seen how your support is truly an “investment” in helping the youngest who experience many forms of poverty.
I wish you a blessed 2026. We strengthen these wishes with our daily prayers for every member of the Sacred Heart Missionary Family. Our special spiritual unity is expressed through the celebration of the Eucharist for your intentions on the first Friday of each month – a day chosen by Jesus Himself to entrust ourselves with confidence to His Heart.
Thank you for being here!
With priestly blessing +
Deputy Secretary for Foreign Missions
of the Priests of the Sacred Heart in Poland
